Surgery

• We are happy to perform most surgical procedures on farm, these include:

  
  
  ► Caesarian section bovine and ovine, elective and emergency
  ► Displaced abomasum right and left
  ► Caecal dilation and torsion.
  ► Rumenotomy
  ► Claw amputation and growth removal from between claws
  ► Perineal Urethrostomy ( for male animals unable to urinate)
  ► Open surgical castration
  ► Vasectomy
  ► Routine stitch up

  Elective procedures such as umbilical hernia repairs in calves and ultrasound scanning examinations in mares can be performed in our purpose built large animal facility on the Pearse road - Sligo town.
